Wendell A. DeShazer

Wendell A. DeShazer, 63, of Berryton, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026. He was born March 15, 1962 in Olathe, Kansas, the son of Larry Charles and Waunita Louise "Cookie" (Koch) DeShazer.

Wendell attended Highland Park High School. He was an Army Veteran. He was employed by Hallmark Cards, and later Copper Mountain Ski Resort.

Survivors include children, Jeremy (Lindsey) DeShazer and Justin (Claire) DeShazer, four grandchildren, Caden, Ethan, Natalie and Wyatt, his siblings, Clark DeShazer and Rhonda DeShazer , his nephews, Jermaine, Tristen, Bishop and three great-nieces, Lily, Aaliyah and Jasmain.

Wendell was preceded in death by his nephew, AnTerio.

A Celebration of Wendell’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 30, 2026 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. Inurnment will take place in Lynn Creek Cemetery at a later date.
