Wilfred (Willie) Erikson, a devoted family man and esteemed over-the-road truck driver, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his daughter and wife on December 6, 2025, in Belvue, Kansas, at the age of 70. Born on May 15, 1955, in Manhattan, Kansas, Willie led a life marked by hard work, love, and a passion for helping others.

From 1979 until 2010, Willie served as a reliable truck driver, a role he cherished immensely. His dedication to his craft was evident as he traveled the roads, always sharing stories and experiences with those he encountered along the way. A fun-loving spirit, he was social and never met a stranger, earning a reputation for his loving heart of gold. He was always quick to lend a helping hand, whether it was assisting someone on the side of the road or making sure he was available for significant family events.

Willie's true pride and joy were his beloved wife, Linda Erikson, with whom he enjoyed 32 years of marriage, their daughter Shelby Lynn Erikson (Tinkerbell), son Chad Erikson (Chadderbox), and his granddaughter Amia June Ohmer (Buttercup). Willie's many hobbies included a keen interest in cars, trucks, and locomotives, along with his cherished collection of John Deere tractors and a Minneapolis Moline G. He took pleasure in the great outdoors, often hosting bonfires and wiener roasts with friends and family, creating cherished memories for all who knew him.
