Anne Nioce, 77, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2018.
She was born September 19, 1941, in Choctaw, Alabama, the daughter of William Allen and Mattie May (Griffith) Johnson.
Anne was a drug and alcohol counselor for Mirror Inc. of Newton, Kansas and SKADAF of Liberal, Kansas, retiring in 2013.
Survivors include a three step-children, Dale (Sarah) Wingert, Jr., Topeka, Sam (Dee) Wingert, Wichita and Stan Ybarra, Wichita; step-grandchildren, Tony (Nicole) Wingert and their daughter, Lillith, Taylor Wingert, Brian Wingert, Jason (Maykala) Wingert and their daughter, Aspen, Stephen Ybarra and his children, Zachery, Gabby, Jessie and Alex Ybarra, Nathaniel Ybarra, Jayce Ybarra and Kaylen Ybarra; two grandchildren, John Johnson and Erin Johnson, and her children, Timothy and Alexander Johnson; and a brother, Hugh Johnson, Slidell, LA.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Ross and Tim Johnson; and a sister.
Anne enjoyed spending time with family, teaching, reading, cooking and playing cards.
Honoring Anne’s request, cremation is planned. A memorial ceremony will be held at a later date. Dove Cremations and Funerals, Southwest Chapel is assisting the family.
