Donald H. Allison, 92, Topeka, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2020 at a local care center.
Don was born February 4, 1928 in Topeka, the son of Howard and Sadie (White) Allison. He graduated from Topeka High School and attended Washburn University.
He was a Marine Veteran serving in the Occupation forces in Japan in WWII and was recalled during the Korean War in 1951.
He worked for DuPont for 27 years before taking early retirement in 1985.
He was a lifetime member of Central Presbyterian Church.
Don married Darlene Price on April 9, 1948 in Topeka. His wife of 72 years survives. Other survivors include daughter, Cindy (Dean) Seals, Kerrville, TX; son, Steve Allison, Temple Terrace, FL; grandchildren, Kelly (Erin) Seals, Sofia Allison, Nadia Allison; and great-grandchildren, Raegan Seals, Ramsey Seals and Noah Seals. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 1 sister.
Cremation has taken place and Graveside services will be held at a later date at Mount Hope Cemetery.
