Walter Benjamin "Ben" McGee, 68, of Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2020. He was born December 30, 1951 in Platte City, Missouri, the son of Walter Benjamin McGee and Lila Pettit.

Ben was a self-employed automobile mechanic. He also worked in the oil field industry for over 13 years.

Ben married Karen King. They later divorced.

Survivors include children, Joshua (Jesse) McGee, Jacob (Rene) McGee, Jason McGee and Shalynn Vest all of Topeka, one stepson, Trey Vest of Topeka, three grandchildren, Mariah, Melanie and Natalie and his sister, Leann Pettit.

Cremation has taken place and no memorial services are planned. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.

Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. is assisting the family.
