Peggy graduated from Blue Rapids High School. She was employed by Let’s Help, Inc. for many years before retiring. She later worked for Kohl’s. Peggy was a charter member and served as the first President of the Ladies Auxiliary Post No. 7209, a member of the TWBA for over 30 years. She served as a Girl Scout Leader, and was a member of the PTA.
Peggy married Dale E. Snook on February 12, 1972 in Topeka. He preceded her in death on October 7, 1999.
Survivors include two daughters, Amy D. Carder of Topeka, Corby L. Reece of Silver Lake, three sons, Kenny Smith of Topeka, Jerry D. Smith of Topeka and David A. Smith of Topeka, eleven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and her sister, Donna Dederick.
Cremation has taken place and private inurnment will take place in West Lawn Memorial Gardens at a later date. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. Masks and social distancing must be observed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Midland Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, Kansas 66606.
