Patricia A. Miller, 82, of Overbrook, Kansas, passed away on January 10, 2021.
Patricia was born February 24, 1938, in Wellington, Kansas, to Paul and Louise (Haslet) Newberry. She graduated from Wellington High School and then Washburn University with a master’s degree in psychology, a field which was her passion. She worked as a therapist for many years before retiring to her home in Topeka. Pat enjoyed growing roses and caring for her Scottie dogs. She was an avid reader and loved listening to all types of music, as reflected in her extensive book and music collections.
Patricia is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Harold Newberry, and son, Everett Miller, Jr. She is survived by daughters, Lisa of Topeka and Johnna and husband Steven Short of Jenks, Oklahoma; and brother, Paul (Beva) Newberry, sister, Suzanne (Dennis) Smart, and sister-in-law, Amelia Newberry.
Cremation is planned and a Celebration of Pat’s life will be announced at a later date. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
