Its a time of renowned sadness.
JoJoJo , as we called him, has made his last journey. It was our joy to have him join our dinners each Tuesday at Point Man. He was such an encourager. We had many adventures with him.
He always called us MaMa & PaPa Roles. We will miss hearing his voice.
He was our one of our veteran
“ Heart Sons “.
And he will be forever!
Take our love with you JoJoJo!
Always share your smile laughter, I’m sure our God would love to hear it.

I am just an acquaintance of Jonas, so you don't know me, I had a Mass Media class with him this semester at Washburn. He was so kind, funny and outgoing in our class. We will all miss him greatly and I send my prayers and love to his family and friends.

Jonas was in my MM 100 class at Washburn this semester, and I really enjoyed having him in class. He was a model student in my class and was always participating. Our Friday group projects, in particular, allowed him to demonstrate his big warm personality with the class. Even knowing him just a short time, I am deeply saddened by the loss of such a bright, kind, and warm person. He was absolutely one of my favorite students this semester.

This life is so uncertain. Only life lived in faith, is a life worth living. JoJo, had a portion of faith that changed his life.
My deepest condolences to the family and friends.

Jonas was in my anatomical kinesiology class. He was a ball of sunshine and he would always ask and see how I was doing in the class and it was extremely tough. He never had a frown on his face even when we all knew most of us didn't do well. We would exchange notes all the time and we never got to catch that beer I wanted to buy him for helping me along the way. My prayers to everyone in the family. He is missed by many of us here at WU.

JoJo, you were always working on yourself. Always wanting to do better and you carried yourself well. You loved Kaos and it was cool watching you train him. Liam and I will miss you. I’m glad to have known you these last few years. You were a cool guy and you loved your bikes! You will be missed by all. Rest well.

Although I did not get to know Jonas for very long, the short time I knew him, I found him to be a person who was happy and full of life. He had a wonderful smile and a warm heart. It is quite unfortunate that his life was taken so soon. He will be missed by many, including myself. It is my hope that his family and friends may find peace in knowing that he's in a far better place than here. Blessings of love and peace to all who knew him.

I had the honor of meeting Jo Jo at our first day of school back in 2018 we had the same WU 101 class at Washburn University, we also had class together this semester as well. When he would walk in the room he always had a smile on his face with a great outlook on life making the room brighter. We were also study buddies and friends. He is a great man and will be missed by many of people.
My condolence's to his family, my heart goes out to you all!
Sincerely,
Carrie Burns

Jonas was the first person to greet you when you entered our office. If my hands were full, he'd rush to open the door for me. He often offered to carry my stuff. I can't think of a day that he didn't ask, "What do you need?" and follow up with, "I got you, no problem." He always had a story about what he and his dog Chaos were up to. But when you asked how he was doing he most always replied, "I can't complain." He was always happy to help. I will miss his kind spirit and his positive energy. I will miss his banana bread too.

Jonas was a kind & caring young man . We had bible studies together & worked out at the Southwest YMCA a lot . Jonas always brighten my day when he was presence. Being a God fearing man I know he’s in the grace of God . May God have a blessing on his soul in Heaven .

I was heartbroken when I heard of JoJo’s death. He has been involved with Point Man for a number of years. I will miss him popping in with a new version of banana bread, hanging out with my husband and friends around the fire pit with other vets and friends and attending various veteran events. I know JoJo was encouraging to many veterans through the years and he will be greatly missed.

Jojo was such an amazing person. I really got the chance to know him during the time that he was a colleague in our office. He was always optimistic, even in the face of great adversity. Everyone will remember his smile and how beautiful it was. He was always so polite and willing to help out in any way that he could - not just in our office, but in his entire life. He extended himself to help me out in many personal struggles that I endured and I will forever be in debt to him. I am so grateful for the chance to have known such an extraordinary human being. He was gracious and kind and loved life, always seeing the silver lining in every cloud.
The thing that I will always remember about Jonas is all of the adversity that he overcame in his life. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to hear stories from his life and I'm telling you, he was such an amazing man! He overcame situations that I KNOW many of us would collapse under. And he did, always, with others in mind. He took his own life struggles and transformed them into service to others. You can see this by the life that he lived.
Jojo, your Washburn University family will miss you immensely. Our office, our team, is not the same without you.
I can't wait to see you on the other side. You will always be in my heart, dear friend.

Jonus was a treasure in our lives. No matter how bad the day was he would make it better. He filled an empty space in my heart. He always saw the good in people and trusted many people I believe he trusted to muc and to many.. He had a big heart. I do not know what god had in store for u Jonus but I hope it was bigger than you could have ever imagined. Uncle Lawrence and aunt Pam Turner love and miss you dearly.

Jo Jo (Jonas) worked in our office suite as a student employee. He always greeted me in the morning and we'd share some small amount of banter. He always always said good morning. He frequently used ma'am and sir when speaking. Sometimes we'd talk about classes and other times about his motorcycle. Just last week he helped me promote our upcoming event to the student veterans on campus. The vibe around here is definitely solemn today. My sincerest condolences to his family and friends.
