Cynthia Lee Cummings, 70, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2021.

She was born January 4, 1951, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Richard Lee and Agnes Marie (McDowell) Cummings. She was a 1969 graduate of Seaman High School.

Cynthia provided Private Duty Nursing in Topeka for many years.

Survivors include her daughter, Wendy Lee (Mark) Slawson of Topeka; two granddaughters, Danielle (Sam) McAdoo and Destiny Slawson; her sister, Terry (Walt) Baker of Topeka; and four brothers, Tony (Donna) Edwards of Topeka, Randy (Kathleen) Brown of California, Richard Cummings, Jr. of Nevada and Mark Cummings, Arizona; two nieces, Nicki (Dennis) Bond, Meghan Edwards; two nephews, Anthony Edwards, RC Baker; and a great-nephew, Garrett Bond.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, David Ray, John Edwards and Curtis Cummings.

Cynthia enjoyed spending time with family and her granddaughters, caring for people, and was a Kansas City Chiefs fan.

Honoring her request, cremation is planned. A gathering of family and friends will be from 2:00-4:00 p.m., Saturday, July 24, 2021at the Dove Cremations and Funerals, Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd., Topeka, KS.
